Our Stance - Human Rights in Kaufland's Supply Chains
We are committed to fair business practices, transparency, good working and living conditions, human rights, and eco-friendly action in our value chain. Our broad and diverse product range means that we work with lots of suppliers all over the world, and because of this, we face the challenges that come with a complex and global supply chain.
That is why we are committed to working with strategic partners to promote responsible and environmentally friendly standards and certifications. We want to play our part in enabling farmers and working families in global supply chains to have a decent standard of living. To this end, we, along with other retail companies and the federal government, have signed a voluntary joint commitment to achieve living wages and incomes. The Kaufland grievance mechanism helps us to quickly identify human rights violations and to take the necessary steps to rectify them. This means that people affected by/people that witness human rights violations as well as direct and indirect business partners can report potential human rights violations confidentially.
Ensuring the implementation of the requirements from the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act – DE + EU.
